Travel shoppers don’t just appreciate a mobile-friendly website, they expect it. No matter the device, travelers want to access your online storefront, gather trip inspiration and learn about the unique experience your hotel offers.
Daniel Zelling, founder of opensmijle, shares why he thinks hotels should adopt a mobile-first mentality in 2015 in this video.
If you’d like to read the transcript instead, here’s what he recommends:
“Mobile in 2015, what’s important about that? Speed, ease of navigation, easy handling, it has got to be so intuitive that I want to do the booking on your mobile site. Whether it’s a mobile site or a responsive website or whatsoever, it just needs to be easy and straightforward. If that’s not the case, you just lost me and most certainly all the other potential bookers to do a direct booking with your hotel. And I will be going back to Booking.com or whatsoever to do it there, so that’s the point.”
