Online Video Increases Booking Conversions for Hotels

Video is working for online retailers – it increases sales conversions, lowers shopping cart abandonment rates, reduces product returns and increases website stickiness. Hotels that have followed the retail industry’s lead and launched video are seeing similar results – particularly increased booking conversions.

Our customers are proof of that. The BROADMOOR Hotel’s Marketing Manager, Story Kirshman told us, “We have seen a 25% increase of online bookings this summer compared to last summer before we had VBrochure.”


The Key West Marriott Beachside Hotel began syndicating video using VBrochure in December 2009. “We are up 72% in group bookings for 2010 and up another 30% for 2011,” said Alan Beaubien, CHA, Director of Sales and Marketing at Key West Marriott Beachside Hotel. Bookings on all online channels are up double digits over last year and the hotel up 30%.
